Banana and raspberry ice cream

The heat arrives and the body asks for ice cream. Making your own ice cream at home has advantages, and that is that in addition to being able to mix flavors and textures according to your tastes and get out of the typical industrial ice creams, you will be able to take advantage of the ripe bananas from your fruit bowl instead of having to throw them away. Today I propose a simple way to make your own homemade raspberry and banana ice cream. Below you will see that the preparation of this recipe only requires basic ingredients and a blender:

  • 250 grams of raspberries
  • 2 very ripe bananas 
  • 80 grams of sour cream
  • 150 ml of whole milk
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • Vanilla extract 

The time of preparation is 15 minutes and of rest four long hours.

The recipe for this raspberry and banana ice cream homemade is really simple and all it requires is resting time once the mixture is made, since it is necessary to let it cool for several hours (4 long hours that will seem endless). The first. will be to cut some raspberries, well washed, and some bananas, peeled and chopped, which will have been previously frozen.

We will place the raspberries and bananas in a blender along with the milk and sour cream. We blend well until we obtain a creamy consistency. Add the vanilla extract and blend again for about 30 seconds.

Pour the mixture into a tupperware container with a lid. and straight to the freezer. we froze some four hours minimum. After the first hour, we take the tupperware out of the freezer and with a spoon we stir the ice cream that will have already begun to freeze. We repeat this again after the second hour and leave the last two hours without stirring. In this way we will achieve an irresistible texture and a delicious flavor.
