Four white wines: Tres Olmos Lías 2016 (DO Rueda), Albada Macabeo Viñas Viejas 2016 (DO Calatayud), Pé de Perdiz 2016 (DO Ribeiro) and Desconcierto 2016 (DO Rias Baixas). In addition to three red references: Los Jalones Joven 2016 (DO Ribera del Duero), Marqués del Cerro Tempranillo 2016 (DOCa Rioja) and Remonte Maceración Carbonónica 2016 (DO Navarra).

In these Baco Awards Harvest 2016, Elena Adell from Pernod Ricard Winemakers Spain wins a recognized award. The Baco de Oro for the Best Young Wines Winemaker in Spain.

The Desconcierto wine from Cambados Urban Winery (DO Rias Baixas) also wins another award. The Baco de Oro to the Best New Brand.

This was the evaluation

It was on June 1, when 559 labels from 62 quality labels in our country were evaluated in strict blind tasting. Always by a panel made up of 55 tasters, all members of the Spanish Union of Tasters.

Led by proper names from the trajectory of sommeliers Custodio Lóez-Zamarra and Javier Gila or journalists Salvador Manjón and Bartolomé Sánchez. But also winemakers like Ignacio de Miguel, Cristina Mantilla and Jorge Navascues.

Figures and professionals that confirm the relevance of an appointment such as Baco Awards, the only contest dedicated exclusively to young wines of our country.

White designations like Rías Baixas y Wheel They are, with 17 and 15 medals respectively, the wine regions that obtain the most recognition. Following, Rioja (12 Bacchus), Ribera del Duero (9 Bacchus), Ribeiro and La Mancha (7 Bacchus both).

Thus until reaching thirty of the wine regions of our geography, a sample of the potential and diversity of the current wine scene.
