The big date with the young wines from Spain, Baco Awards, reach their thirty-first edition. On June 1, the wines of the harvest 2016 born in the Spain vinícola will be the protagonists of the longest running of our quality competitions.

La Spanish Union of Tasters announces the call for the National Young Wines Competition. Are the Baco Awards, the best thermometer to measure the quality of the youngest dishes on the national scene. This time those born in the harvest 2016.

Baco Awards, open to different wines and origins

A contest open in its young version to all kinds of white, rosé, red, sparkling and sweet wines. Be made or not in contact with wood. Also open to various origins. They are wines with Denomination of Origin, Wines of the Earth, Wines of Payment or Wines without IGP. It is consolidated as a benchmark within the national competition calendar.

It will be a panel with a total of fifty jurors. All members of the Spanish Union of Tasters, the one that on June 1 I strictly evaluated blind tasting all participating wines. Sommeliers, specialized critics and winemakers. Also responsible for purchases of distributors and large stores will choose the prized Bacchus medals.

Are the Great Bacchus of Gold, Bacchus of Gold and Bacchus of Silver. The latter is the podium of the 2016 vintage in the Spain winemaking. As a culmination, on June 29, the Hall of the Best Young Wines of Spain.

In this last event you will be able to know and taste a wide selection of the medal table of the Baco Awards.
