Festival of craft beer in Bullas

Tastings, pairings, tastings and music were protagonists in the Third Bullas Craft Beer Festival, a small town in the province of Murcia. After a good reception in the two editions of years ago, until eight brewers beer came. Coming from various parts of the Murcian region, they offered their attractive beer productions. The appointment took place in the La Almazara Youth Center since Friday 9 until Sunday 11 August, bringing together lovers of all kinds of these artisan drinks. In Great Gourmet Products we were able to attend the event live.

Fresh and particular styles from eight producers

The three days that the Bullas Craft Beer Festival lasted were very hot, with temperatures reaching almost 40 degrees. Thus, the bullies came to the summer event to refresh the palate and body with beers of different styles. Fresh and particular, the beer options went through eight producers:

  • yakka (Murcia). Surely the artisan most popular in the Region of Murcia, which offered four alternatives between lager, Tripel 340, Centennial IPA and Yapale.
  • Nuggets (Murcia). Another of the capital with only its wheat blonde very refreshing.
  • Hiena (Murcia). Also with just the offer of an ALE beer from Belgian style IPA.
  • El Cantero (Puerto Lumbreras). His poster featured up to four guys with the Hoppy pils, the Saison, the IPA and the Whiskey in the Jar.
  • Boat (Cartagena). With his Pale Ale, White IPA and Barracaled to Craft Beer Festival all the essence of the Roman city.
  • Trinitarian (Torre Pacheco). From this brand we were able to debut at the event as soon as we entered, testing the toast-spicy. Also, two other types were available (black and blonde).

  • Ricote Valley (Ricote). One of the handicrafts with the most attractive offer, as it is varied and uses some typical products from the Ricote Valley, a natural area in Murcia. Attendees could taste the Citro pale ale (with a hint of pamplemusa), the White (with vanilla), the Pale of the Valley or the Rye IPA (with pomegranate).
  • Sons of the IPA (Bullas). The most local of all the beers present could not be missing, with the three options Season Style, Red Ale and a special edition Spin Tattoo.

Much more than tastings at the Craft Beer Festival

The attending public was able to taste these beers after paying 3,50€ with the one who had the designed glass for the date next to a random tasting of any of those eight brands. However, this Craft Beer Festival gave much more of himself.

The appointment started with a special tasting, had a playroom, a flavors workshop, a dinner-pairing, a beer lunch and also concerts. The boisterous singer Marcos García played on the opening night while the next day it was the turn to makerflow dj y Toccata. On Sunday the event closed with pairings led by a ham cutting professional such as Xavier Munoz.

And it is that there was a very Spanish and ideal product to accompany the good beer, together with cheese and other tapas made by the Borrego Restaurant.
