Wine Routes of Spain: New addition!

El Wine Routes Club of Spain has added a new route to its army of wine-growing territories, that of the Txakoli. Through it, the wine tourist will be able to tour the Alava territory of the region of Ayala Upper Nervion, crossing the municipalities of Ayara (Ayala), Amurrio, Artziega, Laudi (Lodio) and okondo (Oquendo). It also passes through the Biscayan municipalities of Orduna and Orozco. 

As explained in a statement by the creator of this tourist product, ACEVIN (Spanish Association of Wine Cities) it is a wine «yellow in color pale, fruity, fresh, with a hint of acid and, in the case of Alava, with a slight natural carbonic nuance». They also point out that, according to the researchers, the word “txakolí” means “farmhouse wine” or “wine that is made in the farmhouse”.
