This is the first non-alcoholic IPA in a wooden barrel

how is the new non-alcoholic IPA preserved in wooden barrel? Discover its peculiar secrets. Why is it such a good preservation method? is it suitable for celiac people? Let's see it!

Non-alcoholic IPA?

Big Drop Brewing Co. has achieved the milestone of creating the first non-alcoholic pale ale served from a Wooden barrel. Thus, the American company puts on the market Paradiso Citra IPA, with 0% alcohol. It also lacks gluten. The company also points out that it is suitable for the vegan diet.

The company managed to gain a foothold in 2016 after being founded by the former lawyer robfink and his friend from school james kindred. These have finally managed to serve the non-alcoholic IPA without using added gas. Thus, carbonation is carried out naturally during the process of fermentation. That is why they can be served from wooden barrels at a higher temperature than from metal barrels. Therefore, conservation is easier and energy is saved in refrigeration.

When will we see it?

The brewery will present it to the world at the London Craft Beer Festival which will take place between the days 12 and August 13. But… is wooden barrel beer really so different? Johnny Clayton, Big Drop's production manager, has it clear. He ensures that the beer arrives in the most optimal condition before it oxidizes. It seems to him a better system than other conservation methods.

On the other hand, Neil Walker, head of communications for The Society of Independent Brewers, describes the new release as Big Drop's "most exciting adventure to date." Be that as it may, it is about innovation that brings richness and color to the gastronomic world. What's more, the supply of everything is getting more and more individualized. What will be the next changes that we will perceive in the beer market?
