The wines from Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) have an important week that starts this Monday, November 4 with the celebration of the International Sherry Week 2019. We are talking about one of the most relevant events in the world in which the different bottles of Jerez participate. Those that are paired with the best dishes of the gastronomy of each country event organizer. Because, simultaneously, more than 30 countries they welcome tastings, tapas routes, cocktails and other activities with a special role in the sherry. Here we tell you a little more about this edition.
News and International Sherry Week in Spain
From a year 2014 this is celebrated International Sherry Week in places both close to and much further away from the Iberian Peninsula. Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Taiwan, China and to New Zealand they have never missed this appointment that crosses all the continents of the planet. In each edition, more participants have been added who wish to discover the versatility that offer the sherry wines. Those that are capable of being drunk with mastery along with any typical national elaboration. Uniting gastronomy and wine, enjoyment is more than assured.
But at this year's event, the International Sherry Week 2019 incorporates innovative proposals among which we highlight several around the world. In Tokyo (Japan) there will be a route from Jerez next to Japanese food, while in Rotterdam (Holland) the cocktail contest with these wines will be interesting. For its part, United Kingdom will offer tastings in 60 wine bars throughout the country and, specifically, in London, an exclusive dinner with him Chef Jose Pizarro is the main novelty. In other parts of the globe such as Sao Paulo o Washington DC Master classes and a meeting of venenciadores will be organized, respectively.
Of course, here in Spain, as the host country of the International Sherry Week 2019, there will be more activities in different cities, Santiago de Compostela a Murcia. In each one a tribute will be offered (pun intended) to the sherry wine, highlighting the one that will be lived in the Spanish capital. The path of tastings Jerez & Tapas will be present in five gastronomic markets of Madrid.
