A great initiative organized by Action Against Hunger and Hospitality of Spain that aims to alleviate the food needs of many Spanish families. Hospitality Against Hunger already has a history of 14 years and not only restaurants but cafes, bars and hotels are already added.
And 13% of Spanish households do not regularly access quality food in sufficient quantity. That is to say, more than 6 million people in Spain suffer from food insecurity problems. For all these reasons, Action Against Hunger together with the Spanish hoteliers who work on this campaign want to help alleviate this situation.
Hospitality against hunger is active from September 15 to November 15
These actions are not new and we have been working for 14 years and raising more than 1,4 million euros for this cause. The campaign started this past September 15 and will be active until November 15. The money raised will go to actions to improve the food security of these families as well as labor and social reintegration programs.
The way to collaborate is for hoteliers to generate a solidarity dish in which part of the proceeds go to the solidarity campaign. Another way to do it is with financial donations from clients and hoteliers or with contributions by rounding up the account payable.
All hoteliers who want to collaborate can register on the website and start carrying out the actions. On the other hand, participating establishments can also be consulted on the campaign website. In this latest edition, the reservation company The Fork also collaborates with Hospitality Against Hunger.
More than 9000 hoteliers in the country are already participating in this magnificent campaign, including some well-known ones such as Quique Dacosta as ambassador of the project, Susi Díaz, María Marte, Jesús Sánchez or Carme Ruscalleda among many others.
