Cerex, awarded best beer in Spain

Cerex beer is a firm originating in the small Extremaduran population of Bramble of Granadilla. Specializing in the production of craft beer, it has won two important awards. Has been in the World Beer Championship, 'World Beer Awards 2017'.

This prestigious international competition has been held since 2007 in London and it has a demanding jury. Its objective is to select, recognize and promote the best beers in the world among consumers.

As in previous editions, brewmasters, wholesalers, retailers and importers from all over the world have participated this year with their best beers. What gives the contest a high level of competition.

Best beer in Spain 2017

The firm is the creator of the first acorn-fed Iberian ham beer of the world -Walking-. It has been recognized with the Best Beer in Spain awards in the 'World Beer Awards 2017' . Through two of its products: Cerex Cherry and Cerex Chestnut.

The first has achieved the gold badge in 'fruit & vegetables'. The category in which beers made with the addition of fruits or vegetables that do not show spontaneous fermentation in their production process compete.

The second has achieved the same recognition, but in the category 'Smoke'. Within this genre they compete Rauchbier fermented beers (smoked beer). In these production processes, a malt or peat-smoked barley wood-fired oven has been used.

A great recognition for Cerex

The acquisition of these two new awards by Cerex beer implies a new international recognition to quality and innovation. It is of all the products made by the master brewers Marcos Rubio and Alfonso Vallejo.

They also constitute the guarantor of participation in the 'World Beer Awards Grand Tasting London'. Competition to be held next November in the British capital in order to recognize and reward the best beer in the world.
