El Organizing Committee of Torta del Casar Week has presented in the San Francisco de Cáceres Complex the program of events of the XXIII Edition. It will be from October 2 to 8, with the host of different activities with the aim of promoting and disseminating. As well as publicize the culture of this artisan cheese.
Maintaining the format of past editions, during these days a varied program of activities is developed. Everything so that people of all ages can participate. With children's workshops, the VIII Route of the Tapa in establishments of Casar de Cáceres. also XII Transhumant Route and commented tastings around the Casar cake. Torta del Casar Week to promote it
The winners this edition, according to the category, are the following. First, Luis Smith Alamo. He is an expert in Denominations of Origin of the Ministry of Agriculture as an outstanding national person within the sector.

A tool to promote local products
This edition highlights the course 'Science, cheese and tourism' organized by the UEX. It is sponsored by the City Council of Casar de Cáceres and Diputación de Cáceres. The objective is to point out the importance of autochthonous agri-food products as elements of socio-economic value. - October 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Casar de Cáceres: Activities to disseminate cheese and its consumption aimed at groups of students from schools in the geographical area of the DOP.
