La Chula without, artisan and without alcohol

The choice of malts, their maceration and experimenting with the world of yeasts. All this has led to Villa de Madrid beers to launch a craft beer without alcohol: La Chula without. This beer seeks the consumer who for whatever reasons does not want or can drink alcohol. For this purpose, a beer has been born with the four ingredients of craft beers but with only 0,9º.

Creation of La Chula without

Villa de Madrid beers it was born a little over two years ago. After launching high and low fermentation beers, now they surprise us. They do it with this beer made with Spanish malts. It contains a first contribution of Spanish hops for its bitterness and hops of American origin for the flavor. This gives us a balanced beer with floral and fruity character at the same time.

Brewmaster and company owner Jacob Grandson you have done a good job. “We have carried out a lot of tests, one hundred and twelve in particular and we have achieved something interesting in the maceration. At a certain temperature, some of the sugars that are created are not transformed by the yeast into alcohol.

And it is that the choice of the yeast is another of the keys to get a product like La Chula without. The interesting thing about this beer is that it meets the quality of the craft. Take care of its only four ingredients: malt, hops, water and yeast. Thus obtaining a product with an alcohol level below one percent.

Also does not add any sugar for the second fermentation thanks to the isobaric equipment that they have in their facilities. This allows them to recover the CO2 from the fermentation and add it at the end of the process. In this way, it allows nothing to alter the taste of the beer.

Beer it is not pasteurized or filtered so it is alive and evolving in the bottle in the same way as any craft beer.

They are currently marketed in the Region of Madrid and in the provinces of Ávila, Alicante, Murcia, Almería and Cádiz. At the moment they are negotiating with distributors from other autonomous communities to have a presence. At an international level they are beginning to export but they already have a consolidated presence in Japan.
