La Belgian food safety agency has ordered this Friday the closure of the manufacturing plant of the Ferrero group in Arlon (Belgium) where part of the Kindergarten eggs. All after there have been cases of salmonella that could be linked to the product. For all these reasons, batches of their Kinder products have been withdrawn.
The Ferrero company has withdrawn batches in various countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland and United States. All this since this week the European Health Agency is investigating numerous cases of salmonella. These could be related to the chocolate intake of the Italian group in children under ten years of age. The sick children currently being investigated are from France and United Kingdom.

For its part, the company acknowledges internal problems in its database and problems in the recovery of some batches.
