Dishes of Brazilian gastronomy

Brazil It is a country whose gastronomic dishes are influenced by food European, African and indigenous. The most prominent of the dishes of Brazilian gastronomy at the national level is the feijolada, although other typical dishes that are usually accompanied with rice are the stew and barbecue. There is something for all tastes, according to the different regions of the country. Find out below what these delicacies are like.

Main typical Brazilian meals

- The feijolada: is a white stew with black beans and dehydrated pork. Is served with rice y oranges, sprinkled with cassava flour. It is a heavy dish and is usually served in restaurants on Wednesdays and Saturdays in a traditional way.

- Rice cooked with pequi: this succulent delicacy is made from a strong fruit that tastes like cooking and is accompanied with cooked rice or seasoned chicken with pepper to taste.

- Tacacá: un hot that is consumed hot, it is made with a base of yucca and some leaves of Yambu. The name of this dish originated from some women called 'tacacazeiras' and is common in the Amazon area.

- Moquecas: a stew made from mixtures of seafood and Fish it also sneaks between the dishes of Brazilian gastronomy. The preparation consists of onion, tomato, pepper, coriander leaves, palm oil and coconut milk.  

Other dishes of Brazilian gastronomy

- Pirarucu de Casaca: It is a dish made in the oven with green smell (mixture of parsley and onion), olive, coconut milk, fried plantain and fish meat.

- Duck no tucupi: It is made from the broth extracted from yucca, tucupi (of brava cassava) and meat of duck.

- Vatapa: creamy consistency, the ingredients required to prepare it are pan or flour, ginger, malagueta pepper, ground peanut, palm oil and prawns. It can be accompanied with White rice to taste.

- Bobó de camarao: this is one shrimp soup with puree cassava, coconut milk and palm oil. It can also be accompanied with white rice just like the previous one of the dishes of Brazilian gastronomy.
