But that does not end that relationship, since also in his logo commercial is represented the image of the Serranos Towers. These are part of one of the 12 entrance doors that had the old wall of the city that protected it right in front of the old Turia riverbed.

Those two elements merged in the Turia beer which was created in 1935 by a group of Valencian beer lovers who wanted to set up their own factory. They raised her in the neighborhood of the Covered Cross, in the heart of Valencia. Unfortunately, that was a bad time to venture into a new business as the Civil War Spanish.

After the war and after several more years, in 1947 the activity of the factory of El Turia Beers, with the commercialization of the so-called Marzen. This was the jewel in the beer crown in the Valencian company that also produced the varieties Stark y Golden bier. Due to the greater popularity it had compared to the other two mentioned, it managed to stay and even later to be reborn until today.

The tough market and a fire

The truth is that the Valencian brewery went through many difficulties. First because of the great competition that were in the sector, where the large national and international firms were very strong. This gradually led to the market disappearance of the three beers. Only the Turia Märzen beer survived in bars in Valencia but in barrel format and when Estrella Damm bought the company to avoid its total extinction.

In this way, the Catalan company was able to keep it afloat in the capital but it was not until 2013 when it relaunched the format of bottle or third to be able to sell it in more channels. A more modern labeling returned it to its place although without removing its name or its logo with that Valencian historical monument. Now the Turia beer he did not win unfortunately because his factory located on San Vicente street suffered a fatal fire and later it had to be demolished.

Therefore, the search for a new location to make it led to this beer until Murcia, specifically to the facilities of another renowned brewery: Levante Star. Thus, from the northeast to the southeast of the Mediterranean, the course taken by this mythical beer ended.
