These are the companies Conservas Garavilla, Calvopesca, Ugavi de Túnidos, Albacora, Compañía Europea de Túnidos, Nicra 7 and Sant Yago Tuna Fisheries.

Of the more than 5 million tons of tropical tuna that are fished in the world, Spain it catches around 300.000 tons. It ranks first in the UE and the fifth worldwide. It produces more than 220.000 tons of canned tuna, being the leading EU producer and second worldwide. Only preceded by Thailand.

UNE STANDARD FOR RESPONSIBLE FISHING TUNA
