In a tribute to pizza, Roostiq has hosted the final of the third edition of the Madrid Fusion Alimentos de España by DO Rueda Best Pizza in Spain contest. In it, Mo de Movimiento, Oro di Napoli, Reginella, Pizzamore and Can Pizza competed. The dynamic was to make a margherita pizza and a freestyle pizza in just 20 minutes. Subsequently, the jury, made up of food critics and gastronomy professionals, gave their verdict.

And the verdict has been unanimous, the Can Pizza Pulp Edition stood as the Best Freestyle Pizza in Spain. This creation can be enjoyed at all Can Pizza locations starting on Tuesday, June 27. A pizza that combines a selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients and perfectly reflects the authentic, modern and metropolitan concept of the brand. Thus, under its motto "Respect the pizza", the Can Pizza team has created a unique proposal. It is made with tomato, sobrassada, octopus, Kalamata olive, garlic, Fior di Latte mozzarella, rosemary, thyme, pepper, oregano and fennel on a fermented dough base for 72 hours to achieve a crunchy, unique and perfect texture.

Receiving this award for the second year means for Can Pizza recognition of the tireless dedication of its team of pizzaiolos. Aliaga states that “In 2021, with Jerry Tometo, we wanted to create a pizza with local products since, at that time, we only had 5 stores, all of them located in Barcelona. Now, with the Pulp Edition we wanted to reflect our growth, which has led us to land in different autonomous communities throughout Spain. For its preparation we have opted for two emblematic products from each end of the country, from Galicia with octopus to Mallorca with sobrassada”.

This brand, created by four hotelier friends, Isaac Aliaga, the brothers Max and Stefano Colombo together with Lolo Vuoturni, continues to reap success since its first opening in El Prat in 2014. It currently has nine more locations: Universidad, Molins de Rei, Sagrada Family, Poblenou, Vilanova, Badalona, ​​Ibiza, Serrano and Chamberí.
