Borges has obtained the certificate of Zero Waste Management for its industrial facilities located in Tàrrega. The certificate received confirms that the waste generated in the plant is treated through responsible means. Recovery, recycling or subsequent recovery are important in the process. All of this reaffirms the company's commitment to the circular economy.

Obtaining this certification and thanks to the evaluation of the control and monitoring of waste from the Tàrrega plant, Borges has been recognized as a company committed to:

  • the minimization of the environmental impact that fights against climate change
  • improving sustainable consumption, promoting reuse, recycling and,
  • the use of waste, as a company that avoids sending waste to landfills.

In addition, the company is committed to extending this certificate to other production centers as well.

Following this working method, Borges reuses and recycles all possible waste, which is why it has obtained the Zero Waste Management certificate with the highest level of commitment, getting more than 95% of its waste reintroduced into the industry, promoting thus the circular economy and preventing waste from going to the landfill.

For this reason, obtaining the Zero Waste Management certificate is an important milestone in its sustainability strategy. In this way, it is framed under the concept of "Committed by Nature". All this involves prioritizing the use of recyclable materials in the manufacture of its packaging, reducing the consumption of plastics through lighter packaging and using recycled material. All to guarantee sustainable consumption and production patterns. Also to promote a healthy and healthy diet based on a model of responsible agriculture.
