Garden Gourmet, the Nestle brand of plant-based products launches its new products for the first time in Spain. This is Voie Gras, a totally vegetable alternative to traditional foie gras.
Voie Gras reaches the Spanish and Swiss market for the first time. This innovation from the Swiss multinational Nestlé under its Garden Gourmet brand is an innovation for all consumers who want to reduce the consumption of traditional foie gras.
Aimed at a growing market such as the vegan and flexitarian Voie Gras becomes the first alternative to foie to reach large retailers. It is made with local protein, vegetable fats and other ingredients such as miso, yeast, toasted sesame, mushroom powder as well as white truffle aroma oil.
Voie Gras has a very similar flavor and texture to traditional foie gras.
As explained by the Culinary Director of Nestlé Spain, Ignacio Rosés: "At Garden Gourmet we want to continue leading the lifestyle flexitarian. Voie Gras offers an incredible melt-in-your-mouth experience. Thanks to the balance and combination of its ingredients, it has a flavour, appearance and texture so similar to foie that it offers the flexitarian consumer the same possibilities in the kitchen as the traditional product”. In addition, Rosés adds: “We wanted to obtain the best sensory experience and we believe that we have achieved it. Voie Gras offers an incredible melt-in-your-mouth experience.”
This new proposal from Garden Gourmet comes at the best time of the year, since this Christmas season is the time when traditional foie is consumed the most. Spain is the second European country with the highest consumption of foie and this is a great alternative so that no one feels excluded at family gatherings.
The Voie Gras has the vegan certification and soon it will arrive at some stores of the Carrefour group. Its production will be, for the moment, limited and will last a few weeks. Everything until it is extended to other stores of other groups.
