Blessed, the vermouth of Mahou San Miguel

Mahou San Miguel, a 100% Spanish family beverage company and leader in the beer sector in our country, launches Bendito, a red vermouth. Bendito has a marked herbaceous character of chamomile and eucalyptus, with spicy and fruity notes. This means its foray into a category other than beer and natural mineral water with a product of its own making.

Balanced, with a light bitterness, full-bodied and 15% vol Alc., Bendito is now available at Madrid Hospitality outlets. It is found in bottle and barrel format, as well as in the online store of mahou san miguel, although the objective is to expand its marketing to all of Spain in the coming months. This new vermouth can also be enjoyed at home thanks to the 75cl glass bottles that will be on sale in catering establishments.

Vermouth Bendito expands the proposal of Mahou San Miguel

With the launch of Bendito, the brewery completes its already extensive portfolio of beverages. It shows how innovation, which accounted for 6,5% of its net sales in 2021, continues to be one of its strategic pillars, while continuing to develop differential proposals for consumers.

“Bendito comes at a time when vermouth has become one of the essential drinks at the bars and tables of bars and restaurants throughout Spain. For this reason, we are committed to this category with our own innovative product with which to continue offering new consumption options”, says Peio Arbeloa, General Manager of the Spain Business Unit of Mahou San Miguel-. "In addition, this launch means continuing to create value for our Hospitality customers, helping to boost their business, thanks to a drink that is currently in such high demand as vermouth," he adds.

This vermouth comes at a time when this category has increased its penetration among consumers by 36% in the last year. A drink that has established itself as the star drink, especially at the aperitif moment.
