Master on gastronomy: 'MasterÑam' arrives

With the aim of training professionals capable of being able lead gastronomic projects both in our country and internationally, a pioneer is born master in gastronomy. The Cadiz University will be in charge of imparting a training that wants to approach the matter from the historical, cultural and humanistic field. All so that interested students can learn skills of creation, entrepreneurship and innovation gastronomic. Something that makes this master's degree on gastronomy that is presented under the name of 'MasterÑam' is that it does not intend to train in cooking, hospitality or food and beverage management. Rather its objective is to teach think, create, manage and innovate with responsibility in the gastronomic world, thus developing a differential capacity. After the training of the students, they must have earned a interdisciplinary vision of gastronomy and food. The promoters of this specialized master's degree believe that university skills and interesting strategic value can be contributed to the sector.

In that sense, we want to approach the matter from the branches of Arts and Humanities but also from Social and Legal Sciences. As its own title based in the Faculty of Labor Sciences, it will enjoy both modality online as in person, due to the pandemic of the coronavirus. It can be completed completely or through two expert courses university students: Innovation, creativity and gastronomic culture; Gastronomic project management: create, direct and innovate.

The directors of 'MasterÑam' They will be Francisco Vázquez García, Leonor Acosta and José Berasaluce.
