Morá Carrot Festival in Cuevas Bajas 2017

XIII Morá Carrot Festival, which is celebrated in Cuevas Bajas (Málaga) on the first Sunday in December, coinciding with the end of its harvest. This gastronomic event pays a well-deserved tribute to a characteristic indigenous product of the town. During this day, booths are prepared with the typical products of the town and you can taste this tuber along with some migas, homemade sausages, the famous resol and the town's pastries. The carrot can be purchased directly or in an exquisite and succulent jam. There are also children's activities and verdiales pandas.

the morá carrot (purple carrot) is a very peculiar product due to its color and nutritional properties, highly appreciated within the gastronomic world. This carrot has a purple first layer, another orange with streaks and the heart is red. It is also known to have anticancer and diuretic components.
