Autumn in Ibiza, the Oli d'E station

This year, the Gastronomic Days of Autumn on the white island they will put their liquid gold in the front row. The menus and tapas of the almost 40 restaurants Participants in this edition will include a small tasting of Ibizan extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) to receive each visitor.

All thanks to the Agrupació de Defensa Vegetal y Sanitaria de l´Olivar d´Eivissa (Oli d´E). In collaboration with the Consell and PIMEEF, they value the quality of a star product such as oil. A stellar moment in which the oil sanctuaries take the opportunity to open their doors. The objective is to receive anyone who wants to know its production process.

This Saturday, November 3, the XIII edition of the Oil Festival (Festa de S´Oli). It will be in Es Trull by Can Pep de Sa Plana. A farm where the olive harvesting process and the subsequent artisan production of the oil will be shown.

This immersion in the traditional process of Ibiza oil will follow a visit to the oil mill of Saint John. It will be at seven in the afternoon, at which time the tasting of the different island oils will take place.

A whole enhancement of the local oil brands, integrated under the Oli d´E umbrella. Imbue with character pages to these days characterized by the authenticity and the Ibizan flavor. It is the cherry on the long road that the white island has traveled in gastronomic matters. Its local wines, its herbal liqueurs, its craft beers or its fish. Can Alfredo, Sa Nansa or Mirador de Dalt Vila in Ibiza will be some of the restaurants participating in # IbizaSabor18. Together with them, Can Caus and Can Curreu in Santa Eulária; Sa Caleta or S´Illa des Bosc in Sant Josep or Can Lluc or Es Nàutic in Sant Antoni will be others that will make up these autumn gastronomic days.

Proposals that are accompanying other initiatives around gastronomy. For example, visits to the most characteristic wineries on the island or the Squid Fair in Sant Carles. Also a traditional pastry workshop for children in It's Graner from Can Coves. Likewise, the First Honey Contest of the Balearic Islands are some of the main activities in the autumn calendar of # IbizaSabor18.

An opportunity to enjoy Ibiza out of season, in a unique environment that inspires the most creative proposals. Local products that will value, for yet another year, the good work of local producers through brands such as Vins de la Tierra, Hierbas de Ibiza, Oli d´E or Peix Nostrum.
