Gallo bets on broths

The well-known brand of pasta Rooster Pasta makes a strategic bet for the elaboration of broths. For all this, it will invest 15 million euros in a new plant that will be located at its headquarters in Granollers.

As part of a diversification plan, Grupo Gallo is committed to producing wines that complement its current range of products. This group investment comes to respond to the growing trend in homes to replace the broth made at home by bottled broth.

In this way, Grupo Gallo will work with the specialization of four groups of products such as dried pasta, flour, the sauces and the broths. In all of them it has a significant market share that stands at a share close to 35% in dry pasta, 29% in sauces and 16% in flours.

The new Gallo broth plant will invest in digitization and sustainability

As the company explains, the project will be disruptive and seeks, through its own technology, to transform the market for wines made in Spain. To achieve this, two important axes in the project have been digitization and sustainability. All this in search of high quality and efficiency.

Thus, the new plant where the Gallo cooking pot is located will produce four varieties of broth such as chicken broth, chicken and ham broth, stew broth and vegetable broth. All this through an efficient and sustainable process, without wasting any raw material and with a capacity of 140 liters per day.

One of Gallo's objectives is to produce an "honest and sustainable" product with ingredients, all of which are fresh and come from local producers. Everything to raise the quality standard of the wine category. In addition, the brick container will be 87% recyclable.
