These days the World Cheese Awards has been held in Oviedo. Such as we inform you the world winning cheese was a Spanish cheese. Now we give you the ranking of the most highly rated cheeses.
Over 4000 cheeses presented from more than 40 countries the work of the 230 judges has been very laborious. High quality and great diversity stand out in this contest. Finally yesterday the scoring of all the cheeses was finalized and we wanted to highlight those that surprised the 16 responsible judges the most.
The fifteen best cheeses in the world
In addition to the winning cheese from the Besos y Quesos cheese factory, which was the only one in this “Top Ranking ”of 15 cheeses and with two classified cheeses, other countries stand out. This is the case of Holland with the presence of 4 cheeses, France with 3 and one of them as runner-up as well as Italy with 2 cheeses in the top ranking. Of the 15 cheeses in this important ranking, all are from European cheese factories except for a cheese of Japanese origin.
