Consumers continue to bet on the quality of the wines of the DO Rueda. Or, at least, so say the figures for the last year. During 2017, the Designation of Origin delivered 91.735.314 back labels to registered wineries. They went for the commercialization of their wines inside and outside Spain.

With more and more customers, these high-quality products continue to triumph. In data, the total figure represents an increase of 7,31% compared to the previous year. In 2016, 85.489.668 back labels were issued for the marketing of the wines.

It is the most successful one sold by the different wineries linked to this DO. The wine white accounts for 99,48% of the back labels delivered, with 91.258.655 units. Of these, 66 million correspond to the variety green, flagship of the DO Wheel.

The figures support the growing trajectory that the D.O. Rueda. In 2010, 50 million back labels were exceeded for the first time. Since then, the increase in sales has been 82,79%, which shows that the consumer trusts the wide range of wines. All are of quality and are offered by the appellation of origin.

This is how the president of DO Rueda, Carmen San Martín explained this number. «These elaborations give an added value to our wines. In this way, national and international consumers can discover the versatility of the Verdejo variety, ”he continued.

The wineries that make up this Denomination of Origin of Valladolid are among the most recognized in the Spanish national territory. Its wine products attract the wine-loving public for their aromas and flavors. Also because they characterize the Pucelano territory very well.
