Vintage 2019 in DO Toro: this is how it has been qualified

The President of the Toro Designation of Origin, Mr. Felipe Nalda Álvarez, together with the overseer of the Regulatory Council, Carlos Gallego, have reported after counting the scores, that the vintage 2019 in DO Toro has finally been qualified as outstanding. In total they have been tasted 14 wines, of which one has been white, another five young reds and the rest with barrel aging. On this occasion, the white wine belongs to the Malvasía variety, highlighting the richness and quality with which it counts Toro in all its variants, reds and whites. In the same way, they have wanted to value the work that is done in the wineries, looking for a diversity in wines depending on what the consumer demands.

A DO with an export vocation

After evaluations, the president of the Designation of Origin has highlighted that DO Toro he is doing an excellent job and his advocacy work is having very positive effects. The Toro Denomination of Origin is the DO of Castilla y León with higher export percentage. In this way, it has already managed to reach the figure of 15 million bottles sold in the past year 2019.

The quality of the Toro wines it is evident again, since there are several consecutive years in which the qualification of the vintages is excellent. This lies in the hard work of wineries and vine growers who care and take great care that the qualities of both the grapes and the wines are optimal to achieve high quality wines.
