El Messe Dusseldorf de Germany celebrates from March 17 to 19 one of the most important international wine and spirits fairs in the world. This year celebrates its edition number 25, being a place of exhibition of wines of all the regions. Thus, this appointment could not miss the best exponents of the DO Rioja and DO Rueda at Prowein 2019. Wineries of both denominations have attended the event.
Both some and others have promoted their elaborations in each personalized stand, in addition to participating in tastings and seminars of professionals. The Spanish wine sector thus manages to bring the best of each peninsular area to the Germans themselves and visitors to the fair. Always with the aim of also finding new customers and suppliers interested in the best wines DO.
Rioja and DO Rueda wines in Prowein
Under the motto of 'La Rioja Wines', One DO most representative of our country has had a presence at the fair with more than 90 wineries assistants. Among all of them, 173 wine references have been exhibited. Those that international buyers can taste until the end of the event. The most relevant families that have had a own individual stand have been 42.
For its part, DO Rueda has moved in prowine their products through 48 wineries, which have promoted about 111 wine references. All of them have been tested over a tasting tunnel that goes through different varieties. Typical and recognized from the Valladolid region, the Verdejos or the sauvignon blanc and also the barrel-fermented wines, as well as those specials, have taken center stage.
Precisely the D.O. Rueda has a good focus centered on Germany, since it is the second country in greater export of their wines. Up to 52 wineries market their elaborations with an annual balance that exceeds 2 million bottles. For this reason, the promotion and diffusion in the German country does not stop.
The professional public attending the fair include wholesalers and retailers, importers, supermarkets, restaurant and catering businesses. All with the possibility of closing an agreement with wines Rioja and DO Rueda in Prowein. Of course, other denominations of Spain as DO Bierzo, DO La Mancha, DO Jumilla or DO Ribeiro, Among others.
