The brand Corpinnat created from spin-off of DO Cava, currently with 11 wineries, triumph in the Catalonia wine guide 2022. Specifically, there have been three sparkling wines that have obtained the same score in the blind tasting carried out by the aforementioned guide.
The awarded wines have been Enoteca Gramona Brut Nature 2006 from Gramona, Turó d´en Mota 2007 from Bodegas Recaredo and Bodegas Sabaté i Coca with its Family Reserve 2012. The three wines awarded as the best have obviously also been awarded in the category of Sparkling. It was the first time that three sparkling wines managed to be the best wines.

A guide led by two great professionals
We must highlight the great professionalism of the two authors of the Catalonia wine guide 2022. On the one hand, Lidia Naranjo, who in her speech highlighted the effort made by the entire sector during the pandemic. Naranjo has launched the challenge of continuing to increase the presence of Catalan wines in the restoration of Catalonia.
On the other hand, Jordi Alcover, in his speech, shared the idea that the wines of Catalonia must face an important challenge to get out of the alley in which they find themselves. They must be brave and bet on the origins and autochthonous varieties. In this way Alcover has launched the idea that wines of foreign varieties should be accepted by the DO Catalonia. In this way, the other denominations of origin will be able to focus on the most indigenous varieties. Undoubtedly an opinion that must be taken into account at a time when the market mainly values the authenticity y singularity.
