airen

It is one of white grape varieties more planted. It predominates in Castilla la Mancha and is the main variety of the DO Wines of Madrid. The variety is also known by the names of lairén, valdepeñera and manchega.

With large clusters, it is a variety Very resistant to drought and also to diseases. It is a variety characterized more by production than by quality since it is not very aromatic. Its alcoholic strength is high and produces full-bodied wines. Its aroma is basically citric so fresh wines are obtained. Albariño

It is the main variety of the D.O Rías Baixas, although they are planted in other areas of the Cantabrian Sea. The grape has a cluster and a small grain. The strain is very sensitive to drought. Albillo

It is a very interesting variety for being neutral and to be part of many blends. It is one of white grape varieties for the DO Wines of Madrid also. Thus, it is grown mainly in Castile and Galicia. El Albillo has a low acidity and it is very fruity, with very tender skin, has also been consumed as table grapes.

This variety has its origin in Aragon. Although it is currently a minority, it is a variety present in the Somontano and monegros. It has a medium level of alcohol and acidity, it has a fruity aroma and a 'vanilla' finish. It resists well to drought but its production is low. He is currently recovering in the area of Somontano.
