Catatur is the new application that contains all the makers of gastronomic products that can be visited. This website and App has won the third edition of the RuralApps 2017 contest in the Citizenship category.
The application has been awarded for offering innovative technological solutions and facilitating access to information. Facilitating access and knowledge in the agricultural, food and rural areas.
Catatur, the best complement to rural tourism
The award is organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya in collaboration with the Eurecat technology center. More than 30 Apps from all over Spain have participated. The award was presented on September 29 at the Sant Miquel Fair in Lleida.
Catatur (catatur.com) is a mobile and web application that facilitates the visit to more than 7.500 food product manufacturers. Among the sections that can be visited we can find: wineries, cheese factories, distilleries, craft beer factories, oil mills, honey producers, marine tourism, ham companies, etc. It is created by this same food and gastronomic tourism information portal (Great Products).
Visitable places are in Spain, Italy and Portugal. All the companies that can be visited are geolocated. For all this it allows us to better plan our trip as well as it facilitates the location of the places we want to know. With a simple filter in the province that you visit or intend to visit, you can help us complete our days of tourism and learn about the production of products, the territory and its people.

The solution also offers information and articles on places of gastronomic production that can be visited both nationally and internationally. The application and web is complemented with a section of gastroevents where we can find the gastronomic festivals of all the Spanish territory. The best places for tastings, workshops and gastronomic experiences will be added soon.
