A good example of this leap in quality are the latest successes recorded by its wineries in the most prestigious competitions.
Among the most awarded, Bodegas Toribio (Puebla de Sancho Pérez, Badajoz) stands out. This winery has collected two Medals in the 2018 Espiga Awards, one Gold and the other Bronze, for your references. Viña Puebla Selección and Edén Parras Viejas.
In addition, in the 2018 Brussels World Contest, which was held in May in Beijing and which has a panel of more than 320 tasters and stands out for being one of the most rigorous in the world, it has obtained the Gold Medal for Madre del Agua 2015 and Gold Medal for Edén Parras Viejas 2014. Two awards, more important if possible, since it achieved it for the third consecutive year.
In this same contest, other wineries in the DO Ribera del Guadiana have won prizes, such as Pago de los Balancines. This has won the Gold Medal for the Huno Blend 2014 and Haragán 2014.
