Rain of prizes for El Gaitero

The Group's ciders The Bagpiper continue their particular conquest of international competitions. And it is that they have a rainy season of awards. In May, the Asturian firm, a benchmark in the sector worldwide, collected almost a dozen recognitions at the Cider World Award in Germany. Already in June it added another six in the Grate Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition in Michigan in the USA. And now it is the turn of England, where the International Cider Challenge is held.

The prestigious contest is one of the most renowned internationally. This award bases its evaluation system on blind tastings carried out by expert independent judges. In this way, it has awarded its ciders with two Gold, two Silver and four Bronze Medals. In total, eight new distinctions. These fell on Gaitero Spanish Cider Red Grape and El Gaitero Natural Cider with gold awards. Gaitero Spanish Cider 100% Apple and El Gaitero Extra recognized with silver medals. The Spring Cider Manzana, the Ice Cider 1898, the Gaitero Spanish Cider 0,0 and the Pomarina Brut with bronze medals.

Piper Spanish Cider Red Grape Awarded Gold Medal

A fun cider in individual format that combines apple with a key mix with Tempranillo grape must. This reduces the alcohol to just 4% vol…for a most refreshing aperitif!

El Gaitero Natural awarded with a gold medal

This cider that reaches its maximum expression without being poured. It could be said that it is equivalent to a "calm" white wine but made with apple, of course, it will give a lot to talk about. And it is that, although it is an "old" acquaintance of the house, it has joined the PDO Sidra de Asturias. This "new version" that is about to enter the market, has already been recognized just three weeks ago as DOP Institutional Cider. In other words, it is the Best Cider of the Year in its category (Natural Filtered).

El Gaitero Extra awarded with Silver Medal

One of the most emblematic references of the house since its creation at the end of the XNUMXth century. Also the favorite option for lovers of tradition and sweet cider.

Gaitero Spanish Cider 100% Apple awarded with a Silver medal.

A modern cider created thinking, especially, in current tastes. Perfect to enjoy in a ball glass, with ice and apple or in a more informal way, directly from the bottle.

Pomarina Brut awarded with a bronze medal

With a natural carbon dioxide thanks to a second fermentation. This sophisticated cider can be enjoyed on its own but it is also exquisite accompanied, for example, with some oysters. Also with cosmopolitan proposals such as ceviches or sushi. And with more traditional dishes made with fish and so appetizing in summer.

1898, awarded with a bronze medal.

A superb ice cider that owes its name to the year the company's historic cellar was built. Ideal to serve with starters such as foie or cheese and perfect for dessert. Sweet but with an acid point that makes it an unforgettable cider.

Spring Cider, awarded with a bronze medal.

A fresh and light cider with a perfect balance between sweetness and carbon dioxide. Thanks to its low alcohol content, it is an ideal alternative to enjoy an aperitif, an after-work or for an "afternoon".

El Gaitero Spanish Cider 0,0

The best way to enjoy cider, but without alcohol. Its success lies in the fact that it is a cider (and not an apple drink) that is dealcoholized after its preparation. One of the stars of the summer!
