What makes this wine special, in addition to its sweetness, is that it is attributed healing properties -especially in reference to internal injuries-. The origins of family wine

The truth is that by chance or perhaps thanks to fate, the Colombian family Bernal Montoya decided to move when they realized that the city and its fast-paced lifestyle was not what they wanted. His destination was a cabin in Santa Elena -one of the five townships of Medellín-, where they soon felt at home and where they discovered their passion. And it is that living among crops of blackberry, they realized that they had an opportunity before them that could change their lifestyle.

El wine falls in love - named after the "oenology applied to blackberry" - of the Bernal Montoya family is the result of a nascent passion that, little by little, became something more. Because the product they made distilled craftsmanship and respect for the raw materials of the area and was gaining followers. The truth is that, according to Eliana Montoya told EFE, after eight years sculpting the family business, “our dream is create culture around the consumption of wines from Colombian fruits". 

Do you know the story that great entrepreneurs started with their products in their garages? Well José María Bernal and Eliana Montoya They began to make their blackberry wine in the dining room of their house and taking advantage of soda bottles; They did it from a grandmother's recipe and without knowing the impact it would have on the region.

The project "Enamora wine" becomes reality

It was as a result of the meetings with their friends where they were offered the wine they had made when they realized that, perhaps, that idea of market your drink it could materialize. “You will see what it does; I support her, ”José María tells EFE that that is what he told his wife. And that's how he wine falls in love He took one more step forward. In fact, it is that they went from processing tons of blackberries in a blender to doing it in a plant of Sqm 140.  Of course, keeping the naturalness of the products and avoiding the use of chemical components in the process.

When they arrived at the Parque Arví market -the most popular place in Medellin-, with their product, they realized that "the product worked and that we could get it out of the country because of its quality", since the response of consumers - from the country and also from abroad - was the most positive.

Fall in love in times of COVID

The global pandemic has been a Hard hit for many people, including entrepreneurs like Eliana and José María. In the case of Fall in loveThey could neither produce nor sell their product, so they had to reinvent themselves.
