Siete Villas 1511 has been made with different varieties of aged rum. These come from the Dominican Republic and Cuba. These have been mixed and rested for three years in American oak barrels in the surroundings of the natural park of the volcanic area of La Garrotxa (Girona). In its formulation participate spirits aged over 4 years and base rums with a minimum of 7 and 10 years.
The production process has been carefully supervised until achieving a 40º liquor. A production process that is different from the process in the Caribbean areas. While in the Caribbean the temperature is stable and high, which facilitates oxidation, in La Garrotxa there are many changes in temperature. This makes the liqueur it expands and contracts in the barrel and there is greater exchange of alcohols with the wood of the barrel. The barrels used in this production are American white oak. These had been used in the aging of bourbon whiskey.
Experts stand out from Siete Villas Rum its mild flavor with subtle hints of sugar cane. Slightly sweet with subtle touches of the barrel wood and a mid palate that recalls its alcohol content.
