More accessible educational tool

The truth is that in the Rioja family they continue to bet on innovation, that which goes beyond the borders of excellent wine products to also reach the academic field. Thus it has been possible to inaugurate this new Rioja Wine Academy, which is a more accessible educational tool. It comes after the success of the launch already in the year 2016 of the course 'Official Rioja Education'. Its great demand maintained in recent years has encouraged the group to create this modern platform with completely DNA in digital. It thus intends not only to be a new academy, but to complement the old training offer that they taught from DO Rioja. 

In this way, the objective is none other than to help professionals in the wine sector to know in detail everything related to the commercial teams, el wine tourism and wine distribution. The public to whom this network of knowledge that they want to give is directed goes from the same wineries with their owners or workers at the head until any amateur winemaking. In the end, the origin does not matter when the important thing is to learn more.

Four courses at Rioja Wine Academy

El CR has decided to divide all the subject into four different courses: Rioja wines; Trade and Distribution; Wine tourism; Y Official Trainer in wines. After passing each one of them, the student receives a diploma that accredits him in this knowledge. Of all these, the last one mentioned deserves special mention, since it is a program aimed at a very specialized audience such as speakers, writers or journalists. Those who wish to be certified by an organization of such prestige as Rioja. Of course, to achieve this they must first pass a selection process that gives access to the online course. Therefore, learning also has a part in-person or in the Regulatory Council itself, visiting vineyards and wineries in the region protected by the DOCa Rioja.

Open enrollment and content

For any of the four courses from La Rioja Wine Academy, registrations are already open and can be completed through the website itself. It should be noted that these modules are Services, in addition to being available to take at the time that best suits each enrollee. Until the 27 February registration is available in the last course. In relation to the contents, there are all kinds in the search for the simplest training: from audiovisual to interactive. The method is intuitive, entertaining and adaptable to each user.

One hundred certified trainers

The qualities of Rioja wine are already being disseminated along with everything that surrounds the wine sector by a hundred trainers certified by the Regulatory Council. In more than 20 countries they have managed to transfer all of this. This is how he has told Inigo Tapiador, Marketing Director of CR DOCa Rioja:

“We observed that beyond an audience specialized in training, the subject taught was generating great interest in other professionals in the sector dedicated to the commercialization of Rioja wines. Or also to the wine tourism area of ​​the wineries. There was even a growing number of inquiries from wine enthusiasts and the idea was to respond to all that demand that we could not meet solely through the Educators program.

That's where the launch of Rioja Wine Academy, of which the president of the CR, Fernando Salamero placeholder image. He has highlighted the "further step in first level training matters" since the Qualified Designation of Origin, offering "the opportunity to build a foundation that generates the necessary confidence when speaking of Rioja properly".
