The Spanish company Paschal, has launched "Pastor de Aranda" on the market, a natural drink made exclusively from buttermilk. This dairy product has a high nutritional value since it contains protein and calcium, has vitamins B2 and B12 and is also low in fat.
Pastor de Aranda buttermilk has been made in the traditional way, by whipping cream. Butter is combined in solid form, along with liquid buttermilk, which has most of the protein and nutrients from dairy. The traditional production makes Pastor de Aranda have a sweet taste, without adding sugar.
Javier Peña, director of the Pascual Dairy Business, stated: "Once again at Pascual we do our best to get closer to families in the current economic context with a highly nutritious disruptive proposal such as mazada. A perfect combination of tradition, innovation, nutrition, sustainability and local economy; to provide consumers with a healthy option at a very affordable price.”
The name of Pastor Aranda has been chosen for its direct relation to tradition; the method of manufacturing and the economy of proximity, since it is made in Aranda de Duero, a town in Burgos.
