The large competition international of Bacchus wines 2017 has distinguished the best wines of the 1751 enrolled from 21 countries. These have been the winners in the different categories.

Laureates at Bacchus 2017

Of the wines that have stood out in the Bacchus medal table 2017, a total of 15 are Spanish. Starting with six fortified wines from the DO Sherry-Xeres-Sherry:

- Pedro Ximenez Tradition VOS and Oloroso Tradition VORS from Bodegas Tradition.

- Amontillado Pemartin from Bodegas y Viñedos Díez Mérito.

- Lustau Oloroso VORS by Emilio Lustau.

- Noé VORS by González Byass.

- Harveys Very Old Oloroso Blend Medium from Bodegas Fundador.

As well five white wines:

- La Trucha 2015 from Finca Garabelos (DO Rías Baixas)

- Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas 2014 of Mar de Frades (DO Rías Baixas)

- Barrica Fermented Guitian 2014 from Bodegas La Tapada (DO Valdeorras)

- Blanco Nieva Verdejo 2016 from Bodegas y Viñedos Nieva (DO Rueda)

- Cava Masia Segle XV Gran Reserva 2008 by Rovellats.

Then, four reds:

- Grans Muralles 2010 by Bodegas Torres (DO Conca de Barberá)

- Faustino I Gran Reserva 2006 Bodegas Faustino

- Solar de Estraunza Gran Reserva 2007 from Bodegas Estraunza of the DO Ca Rioja

- Legaris Calmo 2011 Legaris-Codorníu Raventós (DO Ribera del Duero)

Together with them, they have risen to the top of the list of Bacchus 2017 three international labels. Namely, the Champagne DeutzRose, the Slovak Karpatská Perla Gruner Veltliner 2015 and the Hungarian Mad Late Harvest 2014.

Gold and Silver Bacchus

In total there have been eighteen Great Golden Bacchus, with scores superior to all of them 92 points. To which they are added 180 Gold Bacchus (scores between 88 and 92 points). As well 332 Silver Bacchus (scores between 84 and 88 points).

Sei Vigne Insynthesis 2009 of the DOCG Barbera d'Asti Superiore has also obtained the Golden Bacchus as best wine in italy, country invited to Bacchus 2017.

The wines were selected strictly blind tasting by the 85 judges assembled by the Spanish Union of Tasters in the Casino of Madrid. Between the past 10 and 13 March.

Bacchus, contest endorsed by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and World Federation of Major Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED), is consolidated as a great benchmark in international competitions.
