Normally, all food packaging contain a label. Various data appear on it: the weight, the date of packaging, nutritional analysis, the expiration date or the indications for use, among other aspects. This label constitutes main means of communication between producers and consumers. The information shared in these messages is limited by international organizations such as the Organization of the United Nations for Agriculture and Food. Serving as a common international reference.

Although its regulation largely depends on the country of origin. There are some general rules related to the language used. this must be clear, concise and can never mislead. These do not apply equally to all products. Some products such as wines and transgenic foods have specific rules. Likewise, it happens with fresh products that require more information.

The addition of smart tags gives us confidence. And it is that when an entity makes available to the consumer all the information of a product it is because it has nothing to hide. We support this initiative and invite more brands to start it. We all like to know what exactly we consume and where it comes from. As well as what has been its elaboration process and who has intervened. All these issues solve smart tags. and you? Do you support this new technique?
