Vega North Albillo
Vega Norte Albillo Creole It is a wine from Wineries Northwest of La Palma. This winery is within the DO Wines of La Palma. The elaboration has been achieved with the variety Creole Albillo, a white variety very adaptable to the cultivation of altitude wines. On the island of La Palma it is cultivated in the northwest zone, between 1.000 and 1.500 meters of altitude. From low production vines and small bunches, it is a very aromatic and high quality product.
Thus, the highlight of these different white wines is that this has recently reaped an important award. It is about the silver medal in the X Lyon International Wine Competition.
Abadal Picapoll 2018
A wine from the DO Pla de Bages, a monovarietal of picapoll a variety native to the downtown area of Catalonia. With this came the wineries Abadal They present us a wine that stands out mainly for its aromatic complexity. It is based on white fruit and stone fruit (peach and apricot). The citrus nuances usual variety and balsamic and continental sensations.
These values are especially present in this vintage 2018 -anisados, fennel, white mint-, which provide a very special freshness.
The recovery of this native grape of the DO Pla de Bages, practically in extinction, reaffirmed the Abadal winery in its commitment to the identity of the Bages. This work began with research and the search for the values of identity and territory.
All this from the old vines of Picapoll who had remained in the area. Since then, the wine cellar has opted for working, vinifying and making this variety known. Always with the aim of making it the indigenous reference of the Bages. Hence we have thought of including it between these two different white wines that you can try now!
